The UltraShape™ Contour I ver2 system comprises several subsystems:
System Console and Stand
The system console houses the power unit, ultrasound generator, cooling system and computer that orchestrates the overall performance of the system. The stand contains the illumination system with an integrated video camera, tracking system based on a single video camera, system display screen, and control panel.
Advanced Tracking and Guidance System
The UltraShape™ procedure is guided by a proprietary real-time tracking and guidance system designed to deliver smooth, uniform body contouring results. The system software maps the treatment area in three dimensions and guarantees adherence to a pre-determined treatment algorithm. This algorithm ensures complete and uniform energy delivery over the entire treatment area, thus minimizing the risk of contour irregularities, a common side effect of liposuction. The tracking system, by addressing the dynamic nature of the treatment area as it monitors and synchronizes patient position in real-time, enables the patient to move freely without impacting the treatment.
Therapeutic Transducer
The UltraShape™ patented transducer delivers focused ultrasound energy to the subcutaneous fat layer. Specific, pre-set ultrasound parameters ensure that only the fat cells within the treatment area are targeted and that neighboring structures such as blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue remain intact. The hand-held device also contains an acoustic feedback mechanism that verifies optimal acoustic contact during the treatment.
